Glauco Madeira de Toledo is PhD in Communication at Anhembi Morumbi University, and Master and Bachelor in Image and Sound at Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar). He is the Chief Editor of the Journal of Animation Industries, internationally published by Cascren (Circle of Academic Studies in Creative Economies). Dr Toledo is the founder and host of Cliffhangers, a podcast on TV series and cinematic languages. He is an Advertising and Journalism professor at Universidade de Franca (UNIFRAN), and a professor of Graphic Design and Digital Marketing at Centro Universitário UNIFAFIBE. From his long academic career, it is worth noticing his participation as a member of the Ethics Committee for Research with Human Beings at UNIFAFIBE since March 2023, and as a member of the groups Communication in the Digital Age: Culture, aesthetics, and language at Universidade Metodista (Unimep) and GrAAu (Audio-visual Analysis Group) at FAAC – UNESP. He is a former member of the editorial team and reviewer of Revista GEMInIS, an international scientific journal, and a curator of Serieclube Cliffhangers, also acting as a supervisor of audio-visual and research projects at the Audio-Visual Production School (PREÁ). He was the director and scriptwriter of the transmedia educational project Acessa Física, which responded to the Brazilian Ministry of Education’s public notice for production and national distribution of teaching material for high schools. Dr Toledo was also the director and host of the TV show Série Clube Cliffhangers, on TV Unimep.
